Molto bello ma anche funzionale il design del Dog Pod, destinato al relax dei piccoli quattro zampe. Più a una sedia reclinabile che a una cuccia, il Dog Pod è paragonabile a una sedia di Eams per i nostri amici pelosetti. Per la fabbricazione Vurv ha usato materiali di qualità, tessuti lavabili e durevoli e le vernici speciali che si usano per le barche più lussuose. Il Dog Pod è costituito da un compensato curvato con una serie di rivestimenti a scelta, dal bamboo al wengé, un morbido cuscino lavabile, solidi piedini in legno rimovibili ed è adatto per cani di taglia piccola. The Canadian design house Vurv has created a line of essential accessories for pets starting from the consideration that these must harmonise with other home furnishings. They describe their Dog Pod design, shown above, as “More of a recliner than a pet bed, It’s like an Eames chair for your best friend”. Both beautiful and functional, it’s constructed of bent plywood with a choice of veneers ranging from bamboo and precious North American hardwoods to wengé. All are sealed with resistant marine varnishes. The legs are in solid wood and the pad is both removable and washable. Vurv says it is suitable for small dogs. Prices start at $598, around €418.
